Peak power shaving
Our storage technology can be set up to reduce spikes in energy demand. Such ‘peak shaving’ enables industrial customers to substantially lower their energy bills, by avoiding the costly penalties that grid operators charge for sudden peaks in demand. Our KINEXT technology can also enable site expansion without an obligatory grid connection upgrade. This saves investments and annual fees.

Energy Recycling
Today’s infrastructure incorporates a lot of moving, energy-intensive machinery. However, some movement generates energy – think of port cranes lowering containers. Our solutions enable clients to capture and store such energy and to recycle it when the load increases. This results in immediate and significant savings: lower grid demand or diesel consumption in diesel-electric cranes. As KINEXT shaves peaks in power demand, a smaller grid connection suffices to power an electrical crane. The transition from a (partially) diesel-powered crane to a fully electric crane is now possible without the delays of waiting for a grid connection upgrade.

Uninterruptable power supply (UPS)
Minimizing the risk of poor power quality, voltage dips, or even power outages is a crucial concern for every organization working with critical systems. As a full-service partner, we help clients in a wide range of industries to select the right UPS set-up for their specific circumstances, load and application. Our solutions enable them to minimize their carbon footprint, by reducing or even eliminating the need for diesel generators.

Stabilizing distributed generation systems

  • load-following capability above the capacity rating of the asset;
  • voltage, reactive power and frequency support and control;
  • the possibility of operating assets on an islanded basis during a power cut;
